It's the Doctor, sort of

“Doctor Who: The American Adventures” (Penguin Books Ltd, 2016)

It’s a bad sign when I’m sitting here with a physical copy of this book, & I have no idea who actually wrote it.

This is a collection of short stories written I suppose for children.  I’m not sure because the characterization and such are not as complex as you would expect from a YA collection.  And yet there is a certain grimness in tone that doesn’t seem to fit what I would think of as appropriate for children.

This is paint by numbers Whoviana.  The cover makes me think that we are dealing with Capaldi’s Doctor, yet textually I’m not sure that actually is indicated.
